8 Months Young

This month has been SO MUCH FUN!  The girls are learning new things every day and I couldn't be more excited about what the future holds.  With each day that passes I am reminded how blessed I am to spend my days with these two sweet girls and it seems like time just flies!

What's New?
Play time has become very interactive with these two.  They love to sit on the floor in the nursery and play with their toys.  They have figured out how to turn the pages of their books…their favorite one (I think) is The Very Hungry Caterpillar.  They love to "help" me read the books by poking at the holes in the book and trying to grab at the different pictures that they see.  Toy envy is still an issue this month and I am continuing to try and teach both girls that they can share…although most toys we have two of so it's really a "she has it and I want it" thing.  Let's be honest, it's mostly Abigail that likes to take Audrey's toys right out of her hand.  Thankfully Audrey isn't phased by Abby's attempts to swipe her toys…most of the time Audrey is quick to find something else to pick up and play with.  The girls are now experts at walking around in their cars…they go forward, backward, and side to side.  We have moved the coffee table out of the living room now so that these two can have plenty of room to roam.  Occasionally we have a traffic jam that either myself, Josh, or nana has to fix but other than that the girls will walk around having so much fun.

Another new development...Abby is developing her crawling skills.  She can scoot, roll, and rock her way to just about anywhere she wants to go.  She is sure to be crawling very soon.
Time to baby proof the house!!

I was so excited for fall because that meant I got to buy new clothes for the girls!  I can't believe that they are wearing 9 month clothes and some 12 month stuff.
They are growing girls…and well dressed I might add.

We went to the zoo for the 3rd time this month.  We always have so much fun and this time the girls actually watched the animals.  It was fun to watch them look at the elephants and giraffes…after the giraffe exhibit they fell asleep and Josh and I got to enjoy a date day with sleeping babes.  It was great!  And we only had 2 people ask if we had twins…that's a record considering usually everyone we encounter asks about them.  I think twins are born local celebrities!

Abigail Grace:

Your Favorites:
Your lamb wubanub, your tub of blocks, tummy time, scooting and rolling around, your elephant, your toy phone, and keys.  Taking pictures!  Going for walks around the neighborhood.  You love to eat baby food…squash by far is still your favorite and of course good ole' stinky chicken…(chicken and veggies.)

Your Not-So-Favorites:
Peas are still on the short list of foods you do not care for.  Not getting a nap…you love to sleep.

My sweet little girl, you are getting so big.  You are constantly learning new things and it amazes me!  I love when you give me sugars.  Your laugh is absolutely contagious.  You really are such a sweet heart and you are so happy all the time.  Every day you remind me with your sweet smile how lucky I am to be your mama.  I love you so much!

Audrey Claire:

Your Likes:
Your wubanubs…both of them, your toes, cheetos, your bottle, playing with your sister, and loving on Daisy and Dixie.  Baths, blocks, and your toy phone.  You love wiggling to music and you love veggie chicken and squash baby food.

Your Dislikes:
Being in your carseat for too long,
peas, and tummy time.

You are the sweetest little thing!  You are full of laughs and you have tons of personality.  You love it when daddy and I give you sugars.  Everything is so funny…I love it.  You are truly a gift from God and your daddy and I are so blessed to call your our daughter.  We love you so much baby girl!

7 Months Old

Time Flies!  The girls are now 7 months old.  This month has been a month of milestones and can someone please tell me how to make time stop?!

Both girls are in a size 3 diaper and are filling out 9 month clothes very well.  The outfits in the pictures above are size 12 month but they are big on them.  They are growing so fast!

What's New?  The girls are sitting up on their own and both girls say "Mama" now.  Audrey said it first and I remember my heart melting the first time she looked me in the eyes and said "Mama".  My heart felt like it could burst with joy!  The love I feel for these two is indescribable.  I'm so proud to be their mama!  Soon after Audrey said "Mama" Abby picked up on it and started saying it too…literally within a few hours after Audrey said it.

Audrey Claire:
Girl, you are a spunky little thing!!  You are always watching your sister and boy does your smile light up a room!  You are such a happy little girl!  You love to sit and play with your sister and you love to talk even if the only thing you say is "mama" over and over.  I couldn't be more proud.  When it's time to eat you get oh so excited!  You light up when you see me come in the room with your purple bottle.  And if I don't give it to you fast enough you definitely let me know about it!  You are such a cuddle bug!  I am constantly hugging you and grabbing those cute cheeks!  Your daddy and I are just smitten with you!

Your Favorites:
Your caterpillar wubanub, your lady bug toy, your butterfly teether, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Sheriff Callie, Dixie, Daisy, squash baby food, Cheetos, and Mum Mums.

Your Dislikes:
Carrots and Bananas, tummy time, and not having your paci!!

Abby Grace:
You have got to be the happiest baby in the World!  And the silliest thing too!  You love to talk…especially while eating which makes for a lot of outfit changes for your mama!  You are always trying to wiggle yourself out of anywhere I put you…crawling is just around the corner for you.  You love to be held and are quite content with sitting on your quilt and playing with your sister.  Now that you have two bottom teeth you are constantly gnawing on your bottle!  Thank goodness I'm exclusively pumping now because I imagine that would hurt!  If ever I leave your sight you go into cry mode but the second I return you are good.  You are always reaching for me or daddy to pick you up and most of the time we can't help but scoop you up and love on you.  You are so loved!!!

Your Favorites:
Your Elephant toys, your bracelet teether, Cheetos, Johnny Jump Up, your feet, and any kind of chicken baby food!

Your Dislikes:
Not being held, naps, and carrots

This picture captures the silliness that goes on most all the time between these two!!

Happy 7 months my little sweet peas!!

Products we LOVE

As a mother of twins and a fashionista I am constantly looking for products that I can not live without for myself and for my girls.  One of the greatest products we have discovered so far are these moccs from Freshly Picked.

We recently received our moccs in the mail and I am in LOVE.  These Freshly Picked moccs are the ONLY shoes that my twins have that actually stay on their feet AND they are so fashionable.  Freshly Picked moccs come in all colors and sizes...EXCEPT adult sizes...maybe they will add that to their line for us moms!  The girls have worn their moccs several times and they look so cute in them.  The moccs are made of super soft leather and they come in the cutest packaging. We will definitely be ordering some more in the near future!!

6 Months Old Already!!

We celebrated Audrey and Abigail's 1/2 birthday recently! (Pictures to come in the near future) It's hard to believe that over 6 months ago our little girls came into this World.  I am amazed at how much they have grown and the milestones they make with each day that passes.

Audrey:
Where do I begin?  You are such a sweet girl!  My favorite part of the day is when I get you out of your crib each morning because you smile at me, grinning ear to ear.  That makes my heart happy.  You are 18 lbs. now and 26 in. long!  I can't believe how much you've grown.  It seems like just yesterday I could hold you in one hand.  You are rolling over constantly now and you sit up on your own.  I couldn't be more proud!  You love to watch your sister...all the time!  You girls are definitely friends for life and I hope you cherish that forever and never take each other for granted.
You LOVE to eat!  Squash and any kind of chicken baby food...your daddy and I call the chicken baby food "Stinky Chicken" because you guessed it, it smells horrible.  You love the Johnny Jump Up and your car walker...you have a convertible car (walker) at 6 months of age...your daddy and I laugh about that.  You haven't mastered walking forwards in your walker yet but you can go backwards and sideways.  You have recently found out that you have a voice and you can talk very loud, like screaming, but a happy scream...if there is such a thing.  You make our lives complete…we are so blessed to have our little "Claire Bear" in our lives.

Abby:
You are a wiggle worm!  You will scoot yourself out of anywhere I put you...I'm sure you will be crawling any day now.  You are 16 lbs. and 26 in. long.  You also LOVE to eat...any kind of food...squash, chicken, green beans, sweet potatoes...you name it and you love it!  You, like Audrey, roll over and sit up.  You got your first two teeth August 1st and August 2nd...those two days were very memorable for me...and not in a good way...poor baby, you were not a happy camper.  But I was so proud that you "grew teeth" that  I actually told you "Way to go, Abigail." You LOVE to talk, ALL THE TIME!  You constantly talk to your sister, to me, and to daddy.  You absolutely adore our dog, Dixie Belle.  Dixie comes into the room and you stop what you are doing and watch her.  And of course she loves you too. You absolutely LOVE bath time...especially when we put the rubber ducks in your bath...you are amazed by them.   You have recently figured out that you have two feet and you love to grab them and try to bring them up to your mouth.  You LOVE to chew on everything…especially Sophie, the giraffe.  You are so spunky and full of life.  I'm so glad God chose us to be your parents.

I'm so excited to see what you girls will be accomplishing in the near future...until then.
